Tax Tools For Bloggers

Welcome bloggers!

A blog can be the way you express yourself to the world as well as being a source of income.

The blogging world is still a new one to HMRC (bless their hearts) so it can feel confusing when your 21st century blog hits up against 20th century rules and advice.

I have clients who blog and I help them with the money side of their blog.

These resources’ll get you off to a great start and if you need more help, the Tax Return Success course and my one to one coaching and mentoring is there for you too.

Blog Expenses Spreadsheet

Keep track of the expenses of your blog, whether your blog is just for fun, for profit, or for-profit-later. If you’re a business, know what is tax-deductible (comes off your tax bill), what isn’t, and why.

For profit can mean you make more money from your blog than your expenses cost, or you use your blog to help you sell services to clients.

Blog Income Spreadsheet

Keep track of the income from your blog, whether your blog is just for fun, for profit, or for-profit-later.

For profit can mean you make more money from your blog than your expenses cost, or you use your blog to help you sell services to clients.

Is My Blog A Business Flow Chart

Your blog may, or may not, make money (profit).

You need to know if it’s a business. If it is, you need to register as a business – or change your blog!

This flowchart can help you decide.
